We received a notice from Gabriel's school today. Gabriel's class, along with the Grade 2 classes in the French and German sections will be spending 4 days (3 nights) at Château du Liebfrauenberg, about 60 km away in France, in May. The cost, including transport, is 170€ (despite the grandiose "château", it is really a hostel). I thought it is a great idea, but Glenda is understandably a bit nervous about it. My first overnight trip sans parents was at about the same age; I was a Cub Scout then (and we had to stuff everything in a backpack, not a suitcase with rollers).
